Branka Marceta:

I am currently holding the position of a Coordinator of Technology projects at OTAN, Outreach and Technical Assistance Network. I presented at national, state, and regional conferences including TESOL and CATESOL. I came to OTAN from Milpitas Adult School in the South San Francisco Bay area, where I taught ESL and Office Occupations both at the adult school program and in the local correctional facility. I earned my Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from San Jose State University. Before Milpitas, I had taught ESL/EFL in Toronto, Canada and Novi Sad, Serbia, to learners from all over the world, ages 5-75, from a variety of backgrounds and in a variety in learning environments: one-on-one tutoring, government-funded programs, and intensive English programs to name a few. I am active in the technology interest section of CATESOL (TELL-IG) as the group’s Web master and Electronic Village organizer, presenter and participant. I am looking forward to our EVO session and sharing with and learning from all the ESL/EFL colleagues and fellow English language learners from all over the world.

Ryan Detwiler:

My interest in video was sparked in 1998 by a high-level ESL-video production class. For several years following I both taught ESL and worked on video projects until finally returning to school for an MFA. I currently work as a Producer of Video and Multimedia for CompareNetworks, Inc. Our production group fulfills on media for life science, dental, and ophthalmology companies. Prior to CompareNetworks I developed Short Takes Interactive with ESL materials developers Natasha Haugnes and Beth Maher, and founded eslvideo.com. This summer I'll be teaching ESL in the evenings at MiraCosta Community College here in Southern Californina, where I live with my wife, Kayo, and two children, Kaishu and Mikoto.
